Try something new outside this summer

The First Try Collective is a welcoming, free summer event series created for Greater Pittsburgh residents to explore the outdoors, learn new skills, and enjoy the many parks, trails, rivers, and green spaces across our region.

Whether you are coming with friends, bringing the whole family, or showing up solo to try something new, each event is designed to make outdoor recreation approachable, beginner-friendly, and fun. From mushroom identification and mountain biking to disc golf and more, the First Try Collective offers opportunities for people of different ages, interests, and ability levels to discover a new activity in a supportive environment.

Pick an event, register when required, and give an outdoor activity its First Try.
